Karillo RZ is a dark green Kale variety with a specific low growing point. Plant vigor is strong, developing tender curly leaves with up to 35 cm length, harvestable at young stage. Due to its excellent re-growth capability a second and third cut is possible, ideal for mechanical harvesting systems. Marketing options are very flexible: freshmarket bunches, picking of young & tender leaves (even from hydroponic), repeated machine harvest for freezing or fresh-cut industry. Karillo RZ offers various innovative approaches for the global Kale demand. It can be cultivated year-round as direct sowing or transplanted crop, depending on growing cycle and climate conditions.
